Generation change initiated

MC-Bauchemie Sp. z o.o. has initiated a generation change with the arrival of Jerzy Stosiek: Alina Stelmach, who has been working for MC in Poland for 22 years, has decided to retire in two and a half years. The remaining time will now be used to ensure a comprehensive handover and a smooth transition.

While Alina Stelmach will focus on the areas of administration and logistics, Tomasz Śmierzchała will continue to concentrate on the sales of the three brands MC-Bauchemie, Botament and Ultrament. In addition to the chairmanship, Jerzy Stosiek is also responsible for production, initially together with Alina Stelmach, and the overall development of the company.

Expand market share, expand location

His goal is to expand the earnings development as well as the market shares of MC in Poland, which has already existed for 30 years, in the coming years in the areas of Concrete Industry, Infrastructure Industry & Buildings as well as in the trading business and to significantly expand the turnover of around 20 million euros in 2022 (without intercompany business) by 2028. Extensive investments in the Sroda site are also planned for this purpose. For example, the production of building boards is to be significantly expanded and the site is to be greatly expanded in terms of both production and logistics.

Extensive professional and management experience

Jerzy Stosiek studied at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Management and Marketing at the Opole University of Technology and graduated as a civil engineer. After graduation, he worked as a technical and commercial coordinator for an Italian company for air conditioning and ventilation for residential, heating and industrial buildings and was responsible for the region of Warsaw, Eastern Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine. In 2002, he moved to an internationally active Swiss provider of energy-efficient indoor climate solutions for residential, heating and industrial buildings, where he was most recently Managing Director Sales and Human Resources at the Bolesławiec plant. In 2018, he took over the management of the Polish company of a medium-sized German company in the field of drainage technology, for which he worked until his move to MC-Bauchemie.

Jerzy Stosiek is characterised by competence, persuasiveness and fluency - he speaks Polish, German and English. The civil engineer, who in the course of his professional life has also earned an MBA at Franklin University Ohio in International Management and at the University in St. Gallen in Project Management, combines the technical expertise of a civil engineer with the comprehensive management skills of an experienced executive.

Since 2019, Stosiek has also been a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Management and Finance at Merito WSB University in Wroclaw, giving lectures and talks in the field of strategic management to English-speaking groups. The father of two children is also a founding member of Minergie Poland, an association that promotes the concept of passive (energy-saving) construction.
