Bright prospects for MC in Peru

MC-Bauchemie's decision to operate in Peru is based on the country's considerable potential. "With the sixth largest gross domestic product in Latin America and a dynamically developing mining and infrastructure sector, Peru offers promising prospects for MC-Bauchemie's product range and expertise," explains Jaques Pinto, Regional Manager LATAM at MC-Bauchemie. The strategic expansion into Peru is an important step in strengthening MC-Bauchemie's presence in South America. The aim is to establish subsidiaries in the most important countries on the South American continent in the coming years, Pinto emphasises.

Christian Vera (43) has been appointed Managing Director of MC-Bauchemie Peru SRL. He has 15 years' experience in international companies, specialising in the concrete, mining, tunnelling and infrastructure sectors. Vera has a Masters in Marketing and Business Management and a degree in Civil Engineering. His in-depth industry knowledge and understanding of the Peruvian market will be crucial to the success of MC-Bauchemie Peru SRL.

Focus on mining and infrastructure

MC-Bauchemie Peru will initially sell products in the areas of concrete repair, injection technology and structural waterproofing, as these cover the main needs of the Peruvian market and provide a solid basis for the company's further growth. For the initial phase, MC has chosen an office and logistics building in Lurin, Lima, a strategically located district of the Peruvian capital, which offers ideal conditions as the country's largest city and a major economic centre.

The new company will initially be supplied from MC's facilities in Brazil, Chile and Germany. In the medium term, however, the company plans to set up its own local production facility. "We want to continuously expand our company and our product range in Peru in order to meet the growing demands of the market and to achieve a leading position in the industry," says Nicolaus M. Müller, Managing Partner of MC-Bauchemie, describing the long-term strategy.

MC-Bauchemie's successful expansion in South America

MC-Bauchemie entered South America at the beginning of the millennium, establishing a company in Brazil more than 20 years ago. Since then, this company has developed very well and now employs more than 350 people at three locations. In the last ten years, further companies have been established in Chile, Bolivia and new partnerships in Paraguay and Colombia. With the establishment of MC-Bauchemie Peru SRL, MC-Bauchemie is now represented with its own companies in almost all major South American countries.
