The main feature of our customer magazine’s second issue of 2024 highlights the crucial role that sustainability plays in the construction industry. It shows MC’s commitment to a future of sustainable construction by developing cement-free and cement-reduced concretes and mortars. In addition, our MC aktiv once again offers an interesting and inspiring mix of innovations, projects and internal news from the world of MC-Bauchemie.

MAIN FEATURE of our magazine: Cement-free into the future

For years, the issue of sustainability has played a key role in the construction industry – and cement manufacturing in particular is increasingly becoming the focus of attention due to the CO₂ emissions that it causes. While cement will continue to play a central role in the future, there is growing interest in sustainable alternatives. Cement-free concretes and mortars from MC-Bauchemie can reduce the carbon footprint by up to 75%. MC is at the forefront of research in this area and is already developing tomorrow’s standards for today with new technologies and sustainable solutions.

BIG PICTURE of our magazine: Mega project “The FOUR Quartier”

From 2025, the heart of Frankfurt am Main's banking district will beat in the new 'FOUR' district, whose pioneering architecture will change the city's skyline. Since 2019, four skyscrapers with a height of up to 233 metres have been under construction. Various products from MC had been applied in this mega-project. These included the special resin MC-DUR TopSpeed, as well as  grouting concretes, mortars and polymer-modified fillers from the Emcekrete, Nafufill and Emcefix product lines.

INNOVATION & INSPIRATION from MC in our latest magazine

As usual, we are also presenting new products and technologies in our MC aktiv. For example our efficient AAC concrete production with the MC-AirTec process, the Emcephob Effect system for the protection of fair-faced concrete and MC-Pigment M that opens up unlimited colour design possibilities for façades and rendered/plastered surfaces.

BEST PRACTICE: Projects, projects, projects in our latest magazine

In the BEST PRACTICE section, we once again offer you an interesting selection of current projects: from the Eastern North-South Expressway in Vietnam and a sustainably rehabilitated stone bridge in Croatia to the repair of an underpass in Switzerland, the concreting of a bridge in Poland and the rehabilitation of motorway bridges in Germany.

 

SUSTAINABILITY focus in our magazine: Climate-positive concrete 

In the sustainability section, we report on climate-positive concrete from the specialist prefabricator Bton Fertigteilwerk which has developed a new process enabling precast concrete that binds more CO2  than is generated through its production.

 

As usual, we round off our issue with internal topics, portraits and personal details.

- Time of the server request

- IP address

 

These data will not be combined with data from other sources. The server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The storage of the data is done for security reasons, e.g. to clarify cases of abuse. If data must be revoked for reasons of proof, they are excluded from the deletion until the incident has been finally clarified. For this period, processing is restricted.

 

Contact forms

We offer you a contact form to contact us on a voluntary basis online. As part of the contact form, we collect personal data (name, first name, address data, telephone numbers, e-mail address), the topic and the content of your message as well as brochures requested by you.

We use this data to answer your request. By processing the data, we have a legitimate interest in responding to your inquiries (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 (f) of the GDPR). In addition, we are required to keep records based on commercial and fiscal regulations (Art 6 Paragraph 1 (c) of GDPR).

The data is passed on to our hosting service provider who hosts the website on our behalf. A passing on to third does not take place. We plan to keep the above data for a period of 10 years and then delete it. Transmission to third countries outside the European Economic Area is not intended.
