High-performance superplasticiser MC-EcoFlow- Admixtures for CO2 optimised concretes

Nov 25, 2024

MC-Bauchemie's new range of high-performance superplasticisers 'MC-EcoFlow' has been specially developed to simplify the production of CO₂-optimised concretes, thus contributing to sustainability and environmental friendliness in the construction industry.

Long consistency retention and the ability to use difficult raw materials are the particular advantages of the new MC-EcoFlow high-performance superplasticisers.

The new generation of MC-EcoFlow PCE superplasticisers has been designed to meet the current challenges of concrete technology when using difficult raw materials. The solution is an innovative additive that allows the admixture to be used with clinker-reduced cements, recycled aggregates and fine-grained sands. The fact that MC-EcoFlow is also effective in combination with such raw materials makes it a flexible solution for sustainable and resource-saving construction projects.

Reliable consistency

The in-house polymerisation technology at the Bottrop plant has been continuously developed to ensure that MC-EcoFlow superplasticisers maintain a reliable and long-lasting consistency, even under problematic conditions. This ensures that the concrete mix maintains its desired consistency over a longer period of time, which is particularly advantageous for long transport routes and complex construction projects.

The improved concrete rheology also improves the flow properties and overall performance of the concrete. Despite the long consistency retention, the superplasticisers enable rapid strength development, reducing construction time on site and increasing efficiency in the precast plant.

Applications

MC-EcoFlow is ideal for a wide range of applications, including high flow concretes and self-compacting concrete (SCC). This versatility makes the new product line an essential part of modern concrete production, whether in precast or ready-mix plants, where high demands are placed on quality and performance, particularly in terms of sustainability.
