Versatile application possibilities indoors and outdoors

Mycoflex 488 MS is not only solvent-free, but also free of isocyanates, silicone and tin. The one-component, elastic joint sealant is therefore user-friendly to apply. It has been tested for sealing movement and connection joints in building construction, prefabricated construction, window construction, timber and metal construction in accordance with the DIN EN 15651-1:2012 standard. Mycoflex 488 MS has also recently been tested according to DIN EN 15651-4:2012 as a joint sealant for pedestrian walkways and can thus be used for balconies and parking garages etc. and edge joints in floor areas as well as floor joints subject to medium stress.

Easy application and very good resistance

Mycoflex 488 MS can be applied without primer, is easy to spray and smooth and adheres very well to various materials such as painted wood, metals and many plastics. The solvent-free joint sealant also has very good early resistance as well as resistance to weathering and ageing and is therefore also suitable for use in cold climates.

Mycoflex 488 MS can be applied with hand or compressed air guns, whereby a pressure of 3 to 4 bar is required for compressed air application. The sealant must be applied free of cavities and bubbles and the joint flanks must be well wetted. A good bond with the joint flanks is then created by pressing and smoothing.
